Sycamore Reading and Pyjama Day
Our children in Sycamore base (Year 1) enjoyed a reward day for showing such great behaviour this half term. The children voted for a Reading and Pyjama day as their reward!
The children changed into their pyjamas, before listening to a story read by some of our Academy Committee members. They then went into Oak base and shared some of their favourite stories with them. The children enjoyed making masks of some of their favourite story characters before enjoying a film adaptation of the story ‘The Gruffalo’ with a milkshake and cookies.
We also had a visit from Frances Oxford from Verwood Library who shared one of her favourite stories with the children. Throughout the day the children visited our newly refurbished school library and loved seeing all the new books in there!
